HFRE
A distributed, modular rule engine for real-time telemetry across cloud and edge: independent nodes on an internal event bus, with multi-tenant isolation.

Problem#
Real-time telemetry across distributed IoT and industrial systems usually means choosing between heavy cloud-only pipelines and bespoke edge scripts that nobody can maintain.
Approach#
A distributed, modular rule engine. Independent input, processing and output nodes talk over an internal event bus and can be deployed across cloud and edge targets: industrial gateways, routers and embedded systems. Topology is described with a DSL, and tenants are isolated from each other.
Stack#
| Part | Technology |
|---|---|
| Orchestration and I/O nodes | Go |
| High-performance edge processing | C |
| Event bus | NATS |
| Ingestion | MQTT |
| Storage | PostgreSQL |
| Packaging | Docker, one container per node |
This is an independent project. A longer write-up of the architecture will follow as a technical note.
